In this study, the teaching efficiency of high school mathematics in class was investigated under the new curriculum standards from both theoretical and practical aspects. According to the curriculum objectives of "mathematics standard of high school", the evaluation criteria were given about teaching efficiency of mathematics in class. The factors affecting the teaching efficiency of mathematics in class was also analyzed in accordance with these evaluation criteria. The specific measures were suggested to improve the teaching efficiency of mathematics. The full paper is divided into five parts:In the first part, the research issues were identified and the significance of the study was also analyzed according to literatureMethod and design of this research was given in the second part, including investigation process, research tools, and data processing.In the third part, the theory and practice investigations were studied on the class efficiency of high school mathematics under the new curriculum standards. The main factors affecting the class efficiency of high school mathematics were analyzed according to the six aspects as the idea of mathematics teacher, building a learning environment conducive to student development, attention to students, diversification of learning methods, the evaluation to students in class and utilization of technology. The measures were also suggested to improve the class efficiency of mathematics.In the fourth part, the empirical research on the class efficiency of high school mathematics was done under the new curriculum standards. The instance of high-efficiency class was also analyzed. The feasibility of the measures suggested in the third part to improve the class efficiency of mathematics was conformed through the experiments.The conclusion,the lack of this research and further research directions were stated in the fifth parts.
