Research On Operating Mechanism Of The Chinese Professional Basketball Industry

Basketball industry has increasingly attracted the attention of a large number of consumers in China under the context of the growing popularity of mass consumption of the sports industry. Because of the popularity and the ornamental of basketball, Along with the further deepening of reform of China’s sports causes, As the basic organizational form of the professional basketball, the basketball club also entered a new stage of development. Professional basketball is always the key in all over the world sports focus, the NBA represents the top level of the professional basketball and Attract the attention of fans around the world, WithYao Ming, Yi Jianlian, Sun Yue Chinese professional players joined the NBA, Professional basketball aroused the excitement of fans in China. It can be said that the successful operation of the business model of NBA sports, also demonstrated the broad prospects of China’s professional basketball industry.The analysis in this paper based on the current development status of China’s basketball industry and experience, lesson in the process of basketball industrialization; the paper combed the research literature of the industrialization of professional basketball to find out the differences of basketball industry development between china and America, then compared The difference of the operating mode of industrialization in professional basketball between China and the United States. This paper summarizes the macro and micro environment as well as advantages and disadvantages of China’s professional basketball industry operations and constructing the value chain model of China professional basketball industrialization operation; Finally, Based on the analysis of the two cases, and puts forward some relevant Policy suggestions.In this study, the author use expert interviews, the content comparison and comprehensive analysis methods compared the operating mechanism of the industrialization of professional basketball in China and United States; The results show that both the American Professional Basketball industrialization and China’s are all under the development of market economy conditions, and most fundamental difference is two countries have many differences in the macro-policy environment, economic environment and social environment, leading to two aspects of the management system there is a considerable difference. This paper focuses on the economic characteristics of the professional basketball market and the status of China’s professional basketball, drawing on the experience and lessons of the American professional basketball club operations. This paper studies focus on:the comparison of Professional Basketball Club management model in China and the United States; the set up form of China and the United States professional basketball club; transfer system, the reserve forces,_Market operations and the contract system of China and the United States professional basketball club.The results show that:in the purpose of industry chain value chain model of China’s professional basketball, we can some problems that exist in the industrial development of China’s professional basketball:1. lack of operational and management experience;2.The property rights is unclear, lack of norms to rationalize the market entities;3.regulatory agencies is too simplistic and generalization;4. laws and regulations are not perfect, and the lack of feasibility and operability;5. shortage of talent, all these restrict the development of basketball industrialization operation. The policy recommendations:1. establishing the structure of investment, to expand the sources of funding, to promote structural reform in sports industry;2.establishing the Professional Basketball Club with modem property rights system;3.establishing a professional league and organizational structure with align the interests consistent with the interests of occupational Union and its organizational structure;4.forma complete set of policy and regulatory system tosupport management system;5. tostrengthen multi-disciplinary c ooperation, and make full use of high-tech to improve the level of basketball industry;6.focus on personnel training so at all.
