Feminist Caring Ethics And Contemporary China's System Of Choice

Care-focused feminism is a miracle in the contemporary ethics. While manyresearchers in china explain feminism as feminist in which the basic principle isequality between the sexes, its development in the western countries has beenthorough multiple stages and becoming mature. With the development of the society,feminists combined the profound theoretical connotation of the feminism withwomen’s own feelings to look on a series of problems in the society, and eventuallythey calmly admit that “biological differences” do exist between men and women.The rising of ethics of care is a result of the feminist movement in the1970s. CarolGilligan，an American feminist, ethicist, published her famous In a Different Voice inthe1980s, which triggered a new wave of studying ethics. Feminists began to use themethodologies of the feminism to criticize and reflect upon the mainstream morality.using new theoretical connotation, Care-focused feminism challenged theposition of normative ethical theory in the western world, refuted its system anddemonstration methods, objected its value structure and assumptions, and developed anew series of morality models and theoretical forms. From the women’s perspective,care-focused feminism develops its study focusing on female interests and moralexperience, and expand the board of ethics.While rapid development is occurring in the market-oriented economy in thesedays, traditional women development theory has become obsolete and lacked theability to solve women’s development problems. This paper, building on the basis ofpast feminism studies, try to offer a theoretical explanation of women’ issues andmake the suggestions about how to construct a system to enforce the theory. Based onChina’s national conditions, this paper will discuss how we can utilize Care-focusedfeminism to build this country. In addition to enriching the contents of Care-focusedfeminism, this paper face directly to women’s issues in China, having society realityand social value. Care-focused feminism is bring a significant influence on the philosophy filed as well as other disciplines. From the western countries to China, rapid development in society have brought contemporary women not only the opportunities but also the challenges, which is a wakeup call to construct a scientific system of female ethics and form a social practice mechanisms. These measures shall make a positive effect to China’s economic construction, social development and the building of a harmonious society.
