This paper is on how to cultivate students’abstract thinking ability which is based on the high school mathematics teaching content, and is divided into five chapters.The first chapter section sets out the relationship between the mathematical ability and mathematical thinking ability as well as abstract mathematical thinking ability. It points out that mathematical thinking is the core of mathematical ability, while the mathematical abstract thinking ability is an important part of the mathematical thinking ability. The analysis in this chapter present about the status of abstract thinking ability of students, and points out that cultivating the students’abstract thinking ability is one of the goals of mathematics education. Above all, they are the import foundations for students, when learning mathematics. What’s more, they are basic contents of high school mathematics curriculum standards on the high school, but also help students to form a more perfect structure of thinking.Definitions are given in Chapter Ⅱ on the abstract mathematical thinking skills, including abstract thinking ability of students’mathematical theory:analysis of theoretical basis of the constructivist theory, the basis of cognitive theory and abstraction.Chapter Ⅲ, relation to the pressure of examination-oriented education, the concept of teacher education, the level of their own business and the current situation of students respectively describes the factors that affect students’ abstract thinking ability, and makes a more detailed analysis on how to develop the abstract thinking ability of students, the chapter presents the abstract thinking ability of students’ mathematical culturing in the classroom. The Concept of teaching and Proved Methods of teaching two perspectives illustrates the culture of abstract mathematical thinking ability. Finally, a general abstract thinking ability of students mathematical teaching strategies and learning strategiesChapter IV elaborates on how to cultivate the students’abstract thinking ability in the two teaching cases involved the Collection of teaching and the Function of teaching.Chapter V:summary.
