With the rapid development of science and technology distance education is becoming an important branch of Information Education. With the improvement of people’s living standard and the enrichment of online teaching resources, individualistic teaching system is becoming a platform where learners with different cultural backgrounds and different age carry out their learning activities. However, one problem exists in current distance education:differences among learners who are in the same internet teaching environment are increasing in their knowledge background, cognitive structure and learning ability. To meet different needs of different learners, Individualistic Teaching System tries to realize the auto-construction of Domain Knowledge Model by means of combining the method of Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence techniques and also use this modeling method to build learners’conceptual knowledge model. The writer of this paper has adopted such methods as cognitive modeling and semantic analysis to show the differences between the domain knowledge model and the learner’s conceptual knowledge model so as to determine the different needs of different learners. On the basis of this the writer put forward some efficient instructional designs and teaching strategies in order to help learners get better learning results.Starting from the present situation and the problems existing in auto-construction of domain knowledge model in Personalized Teaching System, the writer has proposed a method of the auto-construction of Domain Knowledge Model based on Concept map by adopting Three Theories (System theory, Information theory and Control theory), cognitive teaching theory and the theory of Knowledge Engineering. Then, the author will use this method to do the algorithm design and implementation and build a platform to test the algorithm and analyze the result. The purpose is to use this modeling method to automatically extract domain knowledge model in different subjects and thus to promote such a method to different areas of knowledge and teaching activities of online learning environment so as to bring about the greatest efficacy of Personalized Teaching System.Main contents of this paper are as follows:Chapter One first introduces the research background, its significance, research status, and some related concepts. Then it expounds the thesis research objectives, contents, and research methods of this paper.Chapter Two is the theoretic basis of this paper. First the writer introduces some relevant theories and their guiding roles in this research. Then the relevant technologies used in this study and some guiding principles are explained in this part.Chapter Three focuses on the method of auto-construction knowledge model based on the concept map. It includes getting domain text resources, text preprocessing, feature extraction, the extraction of concept terms and the method of concept relationship extraction and the algorithm of auto-extraction concept terms and concept relationship are also discussed in this part.Chapter Four is the experimental testing and analysis of the auto-construction of concept maps, which is divided into four parts: the effectiveness of getting domain text resources, extraction of domain concept terms, the correctness of mining the relationship of concepts and the automated drawing of concept map. In this part the writer also analyzes the algorithm design and its effect through the applications.In the last chapter, in order to collect more experimental data, the writer construct domain knowledge model of different disciplines base this research method. Then she summed up the application practice as well as the problems during the test. Finally the writer reflects on the problems and shortcomings in this study, and proposes the direction for further research projects.
