Education is the cornerstone of social progress, and the teachers play the most important role in education. Especially with the arrival of learning-based society and the concept of lifelong learning has been widely accepted, teacher professionalization has become the focus of educational research both at home and abroad. Teachers’ post-job training is one of the important means of teachers’ professional development. To strengthen the teachers’training and improve the teachers’ comprehensive quality have become an issue concerned by the whole society.This study adopts the methods of literature, questionnaires and interviews, attempting to understand the current situation of teachers’ training in Shaanxi province from the perspective of primary and middle school teachers. What’s more, the interviews with the managers respectively from the provincial, municipal, county-level teacher training institutions and schools, make the current situation and difficulties of all level training institutions clearly and a comprehensive understanding of the status of cooperation between each level training. Then, on the basis of the teaching practice of primary and secondary education in Shaanxi province, the author try to find new ways or new mechanisms to improve the quality of teacher training from the perspective of coordination and cooperation among the four level teacher training institutions. Thus, the quality of teachers’ training can be improved and the benefits of training can be maximized.This thesis includes five parts. The first part is the introduction, including the research background, the research purpose and significance, the research status at home and abroad and the research methods. The second part is the research on the basic theories of teachers’training. First, make a definition of some concepts related to this study, such as teacher education, post-job training and mechanism etc. After that is the introduction of some basic theories of the teachers’training, including the theory of lifelong education. Maslow’s hierarchy theory of needs and the constructivist learning theory etc. And this study shows the relationship between these theories and teachers" training and also the particular value of these theories to teachers training. In the third part, based on the consequences of the interviews and literature study, the author makes a contrast analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the provincial training. municipal training, county-level training and school-based training in teachers’ training. The fourth part is the results and analysis of the current situation of teachers’ training in Shaanxi province. The results show that there are still some problems in teachers’ training, such as unclear training objectives, unsuitable training contents, lack of standardized management and other problems. Studies suggest that there are four root causes of these problems. One is the lack of coordination and cooperation of all levels of training. Another is the shortage of training funds. The third is the lack of excellent training teachers, especially in the municipal training institutions and county-level training institutions. Moreover, the separation of research and training leads to the training away from the practice. The fifth part is the countermeasures and the suggestions:First, establish a teacher training system, not only all levels of training institutions should have a close vertical business contacts, but also all the training institutions at the same level should strengthen cooperation and dialogue, make all teacher training institutions and schools as a whole. Second, the duties of each level training institution must be clear to ensure the training institutions at all levels can do their best. Third, establish four mechanisms to solve the contradiction of high demand and low supply in teacher training, including demand collection mechanism, demand study mechanism, demand solution mechanism and guarantee mechanism. Fourth, establish and perfect guarantee mechanism of the training funds. Fifth, found a training teacher library which can effectively solve the problem of lack of teachers in some areas. Sixth, combine training and research closely, thus effectively avoid the problem of theory away from practice in teacher training. Seventh, establish an information management platform of teacher training by utilizing the modern means to ensure the management of teacher training is scientific and efficient. The last one is to actively establish teacher professional development schools, promote the communication and cooperation between the teacher training institutions and schools.
