Development Plan Outline for Medium and Long Term education Development (2010—2020) pointed out that we should innovate the talent fosters mode, promote the teaching reform, especially, promote the students learn to study. With the guide of building a life-long education system and forming a learning society, to focus on the learning situation of adult and cultivate one’s ability to study, especially, the learning psychology of adult students who receive higher curricula education is different from the undergraduate and adult. To solve the problem of the learning, we should stand on the point of students’psychology; find out the countermeasures for solutions with the help of data in survey in the view of self-direct study theory.This essay illustrates the subject, object, significance, status quo and ways in the first part. In the second part, introduce the idea of self-direct study theory and its base, and then give an exact definition. According to the students’own peculiarity, adult students who receive higher curricula education study with their selves, including judging needs, obtain goals, choosing ways, appraising studying. In the forth part, find out the problems in obtaining goals.under the guidance of the theory of Cognitive goal classification theory and Study result classification theory, offer proposals of solving strategies:following three principles, fixing the content and time span, dealing with the relations between inner goals and external goals. In the fifth part, find out the problems in studying strategies choosing, under the guidance of the theory of Cognition assimilation theory and Ubiquitous learning theory, offer proposals of solving strategies:foculing on meaningful learning, steping to dicovery learning, enhancing ability of obtaining studying resources and constructing resource pool. In the sixth part, find out the problems in studying appraising, under the guidance of the theory of Evaluation of learning theory and Teaching evaluation theory, offer proposals of solving strategies: strengthening consciousness of self evaluation, developing good habit of studying, diversifying the evaluation of the main, combining the inner evaluation and external evaluation, diversifying the evaluation of the ways, combining the process evaluation and result evaluation.
