This study discusses the relationship of the postgraduate cadres’role conflict, self-efficacy and subjective well-being. Through the methods of documentary analysis, questionnaire and interview, this paper mainly researches from the following aspects:First of all, refering to the role conflict dimension in the university students’role identity questionnaire compiled by Zhou Yongkang(2008) and part of the entry in the table of role conflict and role mistiness compiled by Rizzo in1970, this amendment get a role conflict questionnaire which is of clear structure and higher reliability and validity, and is suitable for testing postgraduate groups. Secondly, this paper investigates the status quo of the role conflict of postgraduate cadres and the difference between postgraduate cadres and non-postgraduate cadres in role conflict, and explores the influence of gender.grade, birth place, expertise and other demograghic variables on the research of role conflict of postgraduate cadres. Finally, this paper researched the relationships between the role conflict, self-efficacy, and subjective well-being of the postgraduate cadres, and then explores the intermediary role self-efficacy plays on the relationship between role conflict and subjective well-being.The following are the results gained from the research.1. Role conflict of postgraduate is a two-dimensional variable. The revised postgraduate role conflict questionnaire created in this research has good reliability and validity. 2. The total score on role conflict and the score on two dimensions of the postgraduate cadres are both significantly higher than the non-postgraduate cadres.3. The grade effect of role conflict and conflict between roles of postgraduate cadres is conspicuous. The LSD (Fisher’s Least Significant Difference) shows that the third grade is higher than the first and second grade on the score of the two dimensions.4. There is a prominent main grade effect on relaxation and rension.5. Role conflict and self-efficacy are extremely correlated with subjective well-being.6. Self-efficacy partly mediates the relationship between role conflict and subjective well-being.
