College counselors are an important force for college students to carry out ideological and political education.It has an irreplaceable effect on students’ growing into talent and the development of student work in university.As the number of college students increases,the pressure on college counselors increases.Coupled with the reform of the education system,the establishment of universities is limited,and the size of the counselor team is further limited.Therefore,universities in China have explored an effective way to recruit postgraduate students as part-time college counselors.The introduction of part-time postgraduate counselors has eased the pressure of student work in university and injected fresh blood into the student workforce.On the other hand,due to their age advantage,part-time postgraduate counselors have easier communication with students and are conducive to the diversification of college student management and ideological and political education.However,part-time postgraduate counselors in universities have dual roles.They are both tutors and students.Their learning tasks and work tasks often conflict.Universities also have certain shortcomings in the design,selection and training of postgraduate counselors.How to improve the team of part-time postgraduate counselors requires further exploration and research.Based on the analysis of the role requirements of college graduates and college counselors,this article analyzes the role conflicts between graduate students and counselors,and sorts out the root causes and performance of the role conflicts of postgraduate counselors in universities.Through questionnaire surveys and individual interviews,this article tries to know the actual needs and practical difficulties of postgraduate part-time counselors in B universities,and then puts forward some suggestions from the perspective of strengthening top-level design,perfecting selection,training,evaluation and incentive mechanisms,strengthening the self-development of postgraduate part-time counselors and broadening the postgraduate part-time counselor’s career development channels.
