"The consciousness of human beings can not only reflect the objective world, butalso create it." By saying this, Lenin told us that consciousness comes from and alsois reflected by the objective world, which can guide the behavior of human beings.Once teaching ideas as an ideology forms, it would be taken as starting point andtheory basis to perceive, understand and dominate the activity of teaching, and wouldalso play an important role in teaching quality. Therefore, teaching ideas should beconsidered in premise and put in the first place in the construction and developmentof teaching. Through the literature analysis, the theoretical reasoning and empiricalresearch, this paper amid to search for the relationship between the ideas of teachersand students and teaching quality in universities, guided the teaching reformationthrough the transformation of teachers’ and students’ ideas, and provided reference tothe quality construction of teaching in higher education.This paper reviewed and analyzed the achievement of domestic and foreignrelevant research, found out the insufficiency and took “the relationship between theconception of teachers and students and the quality of teaching “as basis points.Firstly, the related concept of teachers’ and students’ teaching conception, including"ideas","education ideas","teaching ideas” and "teaching views", etc wasdiscriminated. Secondly, it introduced the importance of transformation of teachingideas, and the significance of advanced, consistent and compatible teaching ideas tothe construction of teaching quality. Thirdly, it expounded the problems in the processof constructing teaching quality, and the different opinion in teaching betweenteachers and students according to teachers’ views, students’ views and teachingviews, etc. Finally, by analyzing the elements which influencing and forming theteaching conception of teachers and students, in the analysis of the current teachingidea met on the difference, some suggestions to improve the teaching quality from theangle of teachers’ views, students’ views and teaching views and so on was proposed.
