Problems And Countermeasures Of College Students Management On Multi-campus School

With the gradual expansion of the scale of higher education and the continuousdeepening of the management system in China, there are more and more colleges anduniversities carrying out practice by building new campuses, merger or in other ways.We can see some effects from the forming process of the multi-campuses. It hasexpanded new space for educational development, has optimized the construction ofsubject structures, has integrated educational resources, has made up for the lack ofeducational resources, and has improved competitive advantages of colleges anduniversities and so on. It has also eliminated several contradictions. However, due tothe differences in cultural heritage, historical significance, regional characteristics andother aspects among campuses, there exist a lot of contradictions and problemsbetween the actual effects and expectations. The student management, as an importantpart of higher education teaching, will also be faced with new difficulties andchallenges. According to the actual situations, Huaqiao University has made someuseful explorations on the mode of running a school.This paper is established in the theory of“People First” and "One University". Ithas expatiated on the current situations of student management, the analysis ofmanagement modes and problems of our multi-campus colleges and universities. Thefocus is on the research of the multi-campus student management of HuaqiaoUniversity. It shows that there still exist new problems. There is a gap betweensoftware and hardware construction and the growing number of college students andtheir demand; the construction of campus culture lags behind; the communicationbetween teachers and students is insufficient. This paper puts forward that the key ofdeveloping the multi-campus student management is the changes and innovation ofmanagement modes. Therefore, we use the collaborative management theory toconstruct a management model used in the multi-campus student management, and tobring forward some suggestions according to this mode. This paper is divided intofive parts:the first chapter is describing the background, significance and so on; thesecond chapter is a summary describing domestic and external research situations and so on; the third chapter describes the current situations of multi-campus studentmanagement of colleges and universities; the fourth chapter takes Huaqiao Universityfor an example to analyze the practical problems faced by colleges and universities onmulti-campus student management; the fifth chapter describes the collaborativemanagement theory and combines with the fact to promote student collaborativemanagement and specific actions.
