China is a mid-industrialization country, the main personnel needs vocational education to supply. Meanwhile, China’s current lack of high value-added industries, have a great relationship with the lack of highly skilled technical personnel. Therefore, vocational education plays a crucial role in China’s economic growth, industrial development.Chongqing is a big city, large rural areas, a large reservoir, a large mountain of special municipal situation, the obvious contradiction between urban-rural dual structure, rich and poor, urban and rural, regional and other three to catch up. Meanwhile, the establishment of two rivers in Chongqing and Chongqing’s development need for more personnel with professional and technical basis. Chongqing’s rich rural labor force through vocational education can be transformed into the basis of professional talent to balance the obvious contradiction between Chongqing urban-rural dual structure.On the introduction of the first on the preparatory work for basic introduction, followed at home is not related to Chongqing municipal regional special research premise, this article has carried on the breakthrough in the topic. Through the study of the Chongqing occupation education to Chongqing’s contributions to the development of occupation education, so as to put forward to promote Chongqing occupation education development strategy provides logistic support.The second chapter introduces the theory used in papers such as the theory of labor supply, labor demand theory, human capital theory, endogenous growth theory and other theories, so as to Chongqing Vocational Education for the driving effect of economic growth, provide a theoretical basis. The third chapter is mainly background information, the first part describes the development status of China’s vocational education, laws and regulations of the building, and the current problems; second section describes the status of vocational education in Chongqing, the paper needs as a basis for argument Chongqing Vocational Education contribution to economic growth, followed by details of the current vocational education in Chongqing of limitations. The third part discuss the perspective of the relationship between vocational education and began to explain the relationship between economic development, economic development decisions come the development of vocational education, vocational education is counterproductive to economic development in the interaction between theory clearly the existence of close ties between the two. The fourth chapter analyzes Chongqing Vocational Education’s contribution to economic development, through the last12years of investment in GDP and vocational education based on the data, the growth rate of investment in vocational education for the linear regression analysis of GDP growth, investment growth of vocational education with GDP growth causality test. Ultimately conclude that these results show that investment in vocational education and Chongqing City, there is a strong interaction between GDP growth, total investment increased funding for vocational education led to a substantial growth in gross domestic product, GDP growth will in turn promote vocational education investment into the growth of vocational education and the contribution of investment to GDP growth rate of about98%, so it is necessary to enhance vocational education. The face of vocational education development in Chongqing, the paper in the fifth chapter discuss the development of vocational education, drawing on the experience of foreign countries, such as Germany’s dual system of vocational education model, vocational education system in Japan, Russia, vocational education, as well as Canada, Singapore, New Zealand experience, summed up China’s foreign vocational education, vocational education for enlightenment.Finally, Chapter sixth puts forward the research conclusion:occupation education investment and Chongqing GDP growth in the presence of strong interaction between occupation, education investment the contribution to GDP growth rate of about98%, Chongqing should strengthen the construction of occupation education. Then useful experience for the existing vocational education system in Chongqing Municipality, the problems faced by the development of vocational education, combined with foreign vocational education, and policy recommendations to promote the development of Chongqing Vocational Education:through the promotion of vocational education management system reform, reform of vocational education school system, to increase vocational education funding, combined with the university, to improve factor allocation of educational resources, personnel training for market demand, the construction of teachers within the school, creating the concept of vocational education and other initiatives for vocational education reform.
