With the deepening study about preschool education, the preschool education hasbeen widely accepted by people. Since21century, India has began to put more andmore importance on its development and with the help of a series of laws and policiespublished by government, physical and mental health of the preschool children hasgot great improvement, especially survival and growth of the disadvantaged.Meanwhile, such improvement can give a push to the progress of Indian educationand also make greater contributions to it. The study will bring you back to the timesafter Indian’s Independence, especially21century, and focus on its laws,policies andprogrammes about preschool education. After introducing and analyzing itsbackgrounds,contents, characteristics,implementation,influence and progress of theprogramme,the study will probe into the experience and problems achieved by itscarrying on. By this way, the study will learn some lessons from them and make ourcountry’s preschool education more balanced and healthier.The thesis consists of five parts:The first part of introduction will illustrate five aspects: presentation of topic reasons,related concepts definition, domestic and international general research, purposes andsignificance of the studying and methods of the study.The second part is preview. Introducing policies implemented after IndianIndependence,mainly about policies’ backgrounds, contents, implementation andinfluence.The third part is backgrounds of Indian’s preschool education in the recent onedecade,mainly from domestic and international aspects.The fourth part includes chapter four to chapter seven. Partly introducing more about the India’s main policies on preschool education,including their general situation,content,feature,implementation,influence and the new progress of the programmein detail.The five part is summary and enlightenment. Firstly, summarizing experiences andexisting problems in India about those policies in recent one decade, secondlyproposes enlightenment to our country’s preschool education.
