The mental health problem of students has been a great concern of the wholesociety. There are a number of indicators on mental health,one of the importantindicators of it is the emotion.Anxiety and depression are the two typical negativeemotions which have the intimate connection with mental health on the presentstudy. According to the investigation,the problem on Middle school students’anxiety, depression in China is more serious at present. The Influencing factors ofnegative emotions are not single. In the rencent years, with thepsychologists’continued concern for self filed, A large number of Foreign Studiesshow that Interdependent Self-construal has the Significant positive correlation withsuch two typical negative emotions as Anxiety and depression. Research onSelf-construal is In the theoretical introduction stage in China, there is no empiricalstudy on Self-construal and every negative emotions. In addition, there is noinvestigation on the mental mechanism of Self-construal and every negative emotions.There are two researches on my studay based on the analysis of above issues.Research1: it chose500middle school students as testees, revised SingelisSelf-construal cale and apply the revised edition to analyze the Self-construal of theup to date middle school students. Research2: it explored The relationship betweenthe Interdependent Self-construal, self-esteem and negative emotion. there are suchconclusions as:1.The evised Self-construal scale has good reliability and validity, thus, it can beused to measure Self-construal of middle school students.2.Up to80.75%of middle school students belong to InterdependentSelf-construal,there are four types on Self-construal of middle school students:Perfect type, The traditional interdependent type, Edge interdependent type and Edgeindependent type.3.The grade and the urban and rural environment are two factors which couldinfluence students’ psychological characteristics. The second grade in junior middle school are critical period of psychological development; The level on the urbanstudents’ Anxiety and depression is lower than that of the rural students.4. Interdependent Self-construal has Negative effect on individual emotion suchas Anxiety and depression. self-esteem play the Intermediary role on such tworelationships as Interdependent Self-construal and Anxiety, InterdependentSelf-construal and drepession, Interdependent Self-construal and negative emotions.
