Analysis Of The Phenomenon Of The "lease" High-level Athletes In The Amateur Basketball Competition Investigation

After the Beijing Olympic Games, Chairman Hu Jintao has wisely pointed outthe right direction of the development to the Chinese sports, which is from sportscountry forward to sports power. We should restructure and make transitionimmediately, transform the emphasis on competitive sports previously to pay moreattention to the national fitness, to weaken the gold medal, and strengthen the physicaland health of people, to promote the concept of sports and health. Let the real sportsconcept return to the people. Basketball is one of the most widespread, mass andspecial social influence sports. Competitive and recreational are the basiccharacteristics of basketball. Extensive amateur basketball tournament is theembodiment of the sports ideology, reflects the function of sports competitions, at thesame time, it also has unlimited social effects and potential economic benefits, whichhas played a vital role in promoting social and economic development, improvingresidents’ quality of life, displaying the city image and improving the functions of thegovernment. However, some phenomena appeared which violate the spirit ofcompetitive sports in the amateur basketball area which influenced by the overprofessional of competitive sports and on the impact of the commercialization ofcompetition.This study investigates the "Leased" high-level athletes’ phenomena in thebasketball competition of the Fifth National Games in Ruzhou City, Henan Province.The study uses the literature material, expert interviews, questionnaires and logicalanalysis methods. And the study contra poses the characteristics of the “lease” ofhigh-level athlete in amateur basketball competition, the causes and the impact ofinvestigation.The analyses of the results indicate that: The characteristics of the phenomenonrepresent that the existence of universality; the implementation of the hidden nature ofthe "lease" the process of high level athletes and semi-openness; the blindness ofrental purposes which have a big difference in professional basketball on the marketloan players. The author analysis The reasons of the phenomenon from four aspects asfollowing. Firstly, the sports ethical; Secondly, basketball competition system and the management of the Fifth National Games in Ruzhou City; Thirdly, the contestparticipants; Fourth, the influence of a variety of falsification phenomenon factors inthe society. The phenomena have advantages and disadvantages to the mass basketballsports in Ruzhou, but do more harm than good. The advantages as following: play arole in promoting the enhancement of the overall competitive level of the publicbasketball in Ruzhou; to enhance the game viewing. The disadvantages: disrupt theRuzhou amateur basketball competition order seriously; to cause additional economiccosts to the participating units; the coaches would have dependencies on the “rental”players; result in weakening its own reserve team culture; to mislead the audience onthe pass-sports spirit; dampen the enthusiasm of basketball players to participate inthis region; against the sports competition on the social educational function; havecertain degree of difficulty to the competition organizers and referees.Based on the findings of the research, some suggestions are proposed at the endof the thesis，strive to play an active role in promoting universal health campaign,creating a good amateur basketball competition atmosphere and civilized competitionenvironment. Meanwhile, the author hopes that this study could offer a reference andtheoretical basis for the other areas to carry out the amateur basketball competition.
