Students Focused is the core of the theory for new curriculum. How can weteachers better respond to the requirements of new curriculum in senior high schoolclass? How can we enable students to master the basic knowledge and basic skills ofmathematics? How can we help students express clearly, think clearly and be equippedwith down-to-earth attitude to learning and the spirit of perseverance? How do we teachthem to solve problems and know the world in a mathematic way of thinking?These questions and problems above are the ones we are faced with and forcedto solve. Therefore, to introduce Issue Driven into senior high class is a teaching modeworth our attention and research.As for me, problem mode class focusing on problem solving helps involvestudents in class. The questions and problems raised by teachers, serving as a task, drivestudents to think about the problems and try their best to solve them. And the teacherwith his or her students communicates and cooperates in the process of problem solving.Thus students are likely to learn effectively.According to the reasons above, I expound in my essay the necessity ofintroducing the theory of Issue Driven with some specific cases in my class. Alsoincluded are some common defects in problem setting. For example, the problem is notset based on students’ real life. Sometimes we focus more on seeking a perfect answerthan the process itself. And sometimes we become so convinced with our students thatwe even forget to offer them some guidance in problem solving. What’s worse, the tasksometimes isn’t properly set without clear directions, which may cause students to losetheir interest in math. Sometimes we ignore the differences between students and don’tspend time keeping the class under control. Even the seriation of the problems are notfocused and thus the effective problems in series are not formed. So my opinion is thatwe must attach importance to problem setting first, because, if the problem is setproperly, a platform will be formed to lead to a series of problems. And if theseproblems are formed in series, a vivid and lively class will be formed eventually.Then what makes a vivid and lively class? I think a lively class where students are positively and actively involved in is one where students are the real master. Thus I haveincluded in my essay two real cases of “Plane vector theorem” as examples problem inseries to analyze how to develop the problems efficiently and properly. And accordingto different concepts, I construct different angles to analyze how to select proper seriesof problems, on which to base my teaching.The Problems in series style of teaching is changing our teaching method and isadvocating we teachers to lead our students to think: What problems do we need tosolve? What should we deal with first so as to solve one problem? Of course, there doexist many differences in real class. Different mode of problem setting must be based ondifferent learning conditions, different concepts and different themes. This is worthfurther research for teachers.
