Field Expanding Research On The Influence Of Chinese Youth Students' Political Socialization

A question worth studying is how university students now in China accomplish their process of political socialization. The traditional three agents for political socialization-family, school and media-are no longer enough and effective for the process. Diversified spaces, as a field, could be created.Considerable amount of international activities had been added as part of campus life now for university students in China, in which, we saw the possibility of finding new field for political socialization. Through this research, Model United Nations Conferences is taken as a type of international organizations and activities for the youth in China, which will be observed and discussed. Criteria of the field will be determined as how they work on and have an effect on political socialization. Research questions like listed below will be explored in this study:What are university students like nowadays in China? What are types of field for political socialization? What would be the main features for an effective model of international students’activity that could help with the creation of field for political socialization?This research would like to explain the concept of moral education, ideological education, civic education and political socialization, and prove the effectiveness of international students’activities and organizations for the youth in China, thus supporting the promotion of itself and its instruction by educators.
