Over the past20years, our students’ constitution level has been on the decline by years. Research shows that the daily physical activity shortage is one of the important reasons, which is caused by the changes in the lifestyle and transportation etc. Physical education, as an essential part of one hour exercise everyday for students, the amount of physical activity affects on the students’health, to some degree. This thesis takes30male students and30female students as the test objectives, who are from three different grades of a middle school in Nanjing and selected by random. Actigraph three axis motion sensor is used for recording the energy consumption of middle school students in physical education for nine weeks. This thesis aims at getting the fact of energy consumption of middle school students in physical education class, exploring the regular pattern of the changes, providing references of improving the effectiveness in physical education teaching.Results:1、three grade boy gym class absolutely energy consumption is62.54±12.49kcal,87.43±28.01kcal,151.01±31.78kcal. Relative energy consumption is1.13±0.24kcal/kg,1.37±0.41kcal/kg,2.10±0.45kcal/kg. Girls PE class absolutely energy consumption is25.35±8.05kcal,35.60±11.08kcal,49.92±12.77kcal. Relative energy consumption is0.52±0.02kcal/kg,0.68±0.21kcal/kg,0.96±0.23kcal/kg.2、three different parts of the class grade students’ energy consumption for, the first grade begin part9.32±4.30, accounting for all energy consumption20%, basic part29.83±19.14, accounting for64.10%, the end part7.31±2.94,15.69%; Junior middle school second grade began to part of the energy consumption is14.27±5.32kcal,21.6%, basic part43.37±32.22kcal,65.5%, basic part8.59±4.35kcal, accounted for12.9%;3grade begins to part of the energy consumption25.44±12.39kcal,24.2%, basic part67.61±49.01,64.4%, the end part11.94±8.37kcal, accounted for11.4%.3. three different content of the class grade students energy consumption:the first grade boy football88.45±44.22kcal, table tennis and badminton60.51±17.41kcal, Broadcast gymnastics74.578±29.629. The first grade girl gymnastics class40.43±17.65kcal, table tennis and badminton21.62±7.57, Artistic gymnastics40.31±14.07kcal; Second class boy football119.06±51.45kcal, long jump of78.64±41.34kcal, table tennis and badminton is45.47±24.64, basketball is97.94±51.79kcal, skip rope for95.39±26.47. Teenager schoolgirls long jump lesson for energy consumption26.52±10.35, table tennis and badminton is31.87±11.39kcal, basketball is18.85±5.24kcal, skip rope for48.03±12.17kcal.4、three different types of the class grade students energy consumption for:the first boy new teaching, recitation, Integrated course evaluation of energy consumption class students for68.67±18.28kcal,79.49±31.39kcal,72.20±38.00kcal,73.16±24.44kcal. The first girl new teaching, recitation, Integrated course, evaluation of energy consumption class students for43.76±18.20kcal,37.63±16.14kcal,42.36±17.230kcal,36.62±11.72kcal; Second, the new teaching boys recitation, Integrated course, evaluation of energy consumption class students for94.25±50.91kcal,101.80±57.61kcal,106.08±50.90kcal,84.63±44.94kcal. Teenager schoolgirls, recitation, new teaching Integrated course, evaluation class students energy consumption is35.81±17.89kcal,42.51±17.57kcal,38.73±12.44kcal,41.56±18.30kcal.5、PE total daily energy consumption of the proportion of the physical activity for:three grade the proportion of boys were17.7%,27.39%,38.79%. Three grade the percentage of female students were15.45%,26.24%,31.16%.Conclusion:1、The school physical education from the test of energy consumption the overall, middle school physical education teachers teaching organization arrangement is not reasonable.2、The school physical education from the type of testing to see, sports teacher did not do it according to the different types of class properly arrange exercise load.3、physical education class teaching content from view to the testing school, the same content of energy consumption boys than girls, explain, in middle school sports teaching should be accomplished men and women into teaching.4、from testing school of the physical exercises in class, tests the practice class the organization arrangement is not reasonable, ready to part of the amount of exercise too large.5、physical education and physical activity from all the energy consumed scale to the testing school, the third grade students daily physical education to the effect of physical activity is the most important.Suggestions:1、To increase the exercise intensity in middle school P.E. lessons.2、To reasonably arrange the physical education teaching contents in middle school, to arouse their interest in sport, to increase the exercise load in physical education lessons.3、To reasonably arrange the exercise load of different types students in physical education lessons.4、To reasonably arrange the exercise load in different parts of teaching, especially increase the exercise load in basic parts of the exercise.
