Explorative teaching is the basic notion concerning teaching modes in the reformof elementary education curriculum. It is also the guideline and teaching mode ofideological and political teaching. Under specific question circumstances, explorativeteaching in ideological and political curriculum insists on the combination of subjectknowledge and social living topics, and integrates basic concepts and principles ofideological and political curriculum into life topics. It is of great significance forcultivating students’ problem consciousness and exploration spirit, improving students’ability to participate in social life, promoting their development, and promptingco-development of teachers and students. Elementary education curriculum reform hasentered the mature period, with the effective implementation of ideological and politicalnew curriculum and fruitful achievements of explorative education. In addition, after theprocess of dynamic development of curriculum reform and the theoretical and practicalresearch of explorative teaching, its value is emerging in cultivation of students’scientific spirit and development of teachers’ professionalization. Hence, continualdeepening research on explorative teaching is the requirement of deepening curriculumreform and of teachers’ further development. This paper does in-depth analysis andresearch on the systematic theories of explorative teaching in ideological and politicalcurriculum. Firstly it reveals the basic idea of ideological and political curriculum andexpounds the realistic basis of explorative education in ideological and politicalcurriculum. Secondly it analyzes deeply the significant value of explorative teaching inideological and political curriculum so as to elicit teachers’ rethinking about explorativeteaching in its mature period in elementary education curriculum reformation. Thirdly itemphasizes the analysis on the basic modes in explorative teaching of ideological andpolitical curriculum, expounding basic principles with “insistence on correct valueorientation” as its core and strategic problems of explorative teaching.Organization of this thesis:1stpart: it concerns with the inner connotation and characteristics of explorativeteaching of ideological and political curriculum, with emphasis on understanding of theconnotation of explorative teaching of ideological and political curriculum. 2ndpart: it analyzes practical basis and theoretical foundation of explorativeteaching of ideological and political curriculum, in which the expounding of practicalbasis is of enlightening significance in enhancing the understanding of explorativeteaching and in the recognition of the values of explorative teaching of ideological andpolitical curriculum, while the theoretical foundation stems from classical theories andthoughts of traditional pedagogy and psychology.3rdpart: it expounds systematically the significant value of explorative teaching ofideological and political curriculum.4thpart: it analyzes the modes of explorative teaching of ideological and politicalcurriculum and puts up principles of explorative teaching of ideological and politicalcurriculum, in which the principle that insists correct value orientation is of enlighteningsignificance.
