Population aging is the inevitable trend of the socio-economic development,According to the sixth census announcement shows, the elderly population aged65andabove accounted for8.87%of total population, increased by1.91percentage pointscompared with the result of2000census, which means china population aging isaccelerating. Shanghai is the most serious areas of aging population in china. In1979, aged60and above accounted for10.2%of total population, aged65and above accounted for7.15%of total population. Entering the aging society20years earlier than the national s.The series impact of aging population on shanghai socio-economic development is moreeasily demonstrated. Aging population may caused by the supply shortage of laborresources. Aging population and the raised old age dependency ratio will undoubtedlyaffect the economic development. Bring a range negative effects and heavy burden tosocial pension.In this paper, we based on the social security, demography and economics theory,study start from the aging population on labor supply, taking shanghai as the main scope,by analyzing the current situation and future trends indicate of shanghai aging population.Study from the perspective of macro and micro of aging population on pension burdens.In the first part, analysis the change of shanghai demographic characteristics includingfertility and mortality, explored the process and reasons of shanghai aging population,summarized and concluded the characteristics of shanghai aging population, used the2000census and the1%sample data of2005as the basic data of predictor, predict the structureof shanghai aging population from2001to2050. Analysis the future trends of shanghaiaging population, the conclude shows that the future trends of aging population and old agewill continue to increase. Aging population will have a direct and indirect impact onsocio-economic development.In the second part, based on the analysis of shanghai current labor supply, combinedwith the forecasts in shanghai from2000to2050, analysis the inadequate of future labor supply in shanghai. The aging population not only affects the number but also the qualityof labor supply. If no measures are taken, shanghai will face up to the shortage of laborsupply, which will affect economic development and increase social workers and familypension burden..In the third part, based on the elderly population projector data from2000to2050, weanalysis the future change of shanghai social pension burden. With the decline in theproportion of labor force and rise in the proportion of elderly proportion, elderlydependency ratio is increasing, the burden of the pension insurance and the medicalexpenses are increasing, the proportion of social expenditure is increasing, the investmentof the pension and other social services are increasing in the process of aging population. Ifwe do not take timely measures, the heavy burden of social pension will affect thesocio-economic development, thereby affecting the affordability of the social pension.In the fourth part, described the challenges of family pension in the context of agingpopulation, analyze and predict the development of family structure and scale in shanghai,the family size will continue to reduce in future, family pension will face features missing,Call for more social pension improvement. Through the introduction of old-agedependency ratio, and family economic pressure index, analyze and predict the futurepension burden on family in shanghai. In future, the family old-age dependency and theeconomic pressures index will increase, the heavy pension burden on family willincreasingly heavy.
