Lead-in is a most basic classroom teaching. Although it does not take too much time, it does improve the efficiency of the classroom teaching. if in the first three to five minutes the teacher can arouse students’ enthusiasm, stimulate the students’ existing knowledge reservess, it will create a good classroom atmosphere. But, in our country, a lot of high school English teachers under the pressure of college entrance examination, thinking it is a waste of time to use lead-in strategy. Some other teachers, although they have been aware of the importance of English class’lead-in, in practical work, they pay little attention to it, or spend so less time in studying it that they couldn’t use lead-in strategy properly. So far, the research of effective lead-in strategy in senior High School’s English Classroom Teaching in our country has not been empirical research and mostly just on experience level. In order to improve the efficiency of lead-in in English classroom teaching and to stimulate students’ interest in learning English, the thesis on the theory of constructivism, meaningful learning theory and combing the investigation and analysis with theory study,the thesis summed up a series of strategies suitable for the effective lead-in of high school English classroom teaching, hoping for it can provide some help for high schools’English teachers and can plays a certain role in improving China’s high school English classroom teaching efficiency.
