The Investigation Of Current Situation And Development Of Amateur Sports Clubs In Universities And Colleges In Jilin Province

Through investigation of sports clubs in universities and colleges in Jilin province, wewant to know the current situation and development of sports clubs in Jilin’s universities andcolleges and give some corresponding suggestions.several hundreds of college students wererandomly selected and sampled for questionnaire investigation for sports clubs in theircolleges. Literature reviewing method, expert consultation method, questionnaire andstatistical method were used in the preparation for this paper.We totally spread540pieces of questionnaires and collected500pieces of effective ones.According to our investigation, several problems were found as follows:(1) many collegestudents don’t know exactly about sports clubs;(2) there are several negative factors that arepreventing college students from participating sports clubs;(3) the amounts and qualities ofteachers in sports clubs need improvement;(4) the current sports clubs can not match thecollege students’ needs. the causes that lead to those problems can be summed as follows:(1)the propaganda and education for the importance of sports clubs are not paid enough attention;(2) sports clubs don’t get enough support from relevant departments;(3) some self factors ofthe guiding teachers in sports clubs play a negative role in the development and promotion ofsports clubs. So in order to better improve sports clubs in universities and colleges, wesuggest that:(1) strengthen the propaganda and education of the importance of sports clubs;(2) improve the functions of sports clubs;(3) the relevant administration departments shouldpay more attention to sports clubs development;(4) set up sports clubs based on students’opinions.Conclusions:Currently, sports clubs are not paid enough attention by universities and colleges in Jilinprovince; the current teaching resources can not match students’ needs; the sports clubs arenot set up based on students’ opinions. We suggest that:(1) strengthen the propaganda and education of the importance of sports clubs;(2) improve the management of sports clubs in universities and colleges;(3) relevant administration departments should pay more attention to the importance ofspots clubs;(4) we should promote sports clubs and set up sports clubs based on students’ needs.
