With the coming of the information times, the diversification and individuation trend of education is more and more obviously. The education in future is not only a process of individual lifelong learning, but also the constant development towards diversification and individuation. For school, the urgent problems to be solved are that howeducation serves the students better and how education makes each student develop his own characteristics better. The concept of Differential Teaching is significant for school education. Differential Teaching is a new approach for the vocational school PE teaching. The implement of differential teaching contributes to the enhancing of the students ’ interest in sports and the fostering of the students’ good exercise habits. It canalso profit the students’ characteristic development and their future career.This thesis discusses the educational view and the theoretical value of differentialteaching. It mainly focuses on the implement of differential teaching in vocational school PE teaching. The research methods are questionnaire and experimentation. The questionnaire shows that the implement of differential teaching can effectively stimulate the students ’ interest in sports and build up their bodies. In experiments, the author tests the students ’ physical fitness, motor skills (basketball) and professional skills. Thecomparison and analysis of the pre-test data and post-test data prove the feasibility of differential teaching.The objective of this thesis is to explore how to promote the students’ development through differential teaching. However, the future research will focus on how to unify the specialized characteristic of a vocational school in the differential teaching, andhow to make it a kind of resource in the differential teaching.So that it can become a new approach in PE teaching, and it can also be promoted to other specializes. Ihope that this thesis will provide some references for the humanity, individuation andspecialization of PE teaching.
