With the new curriculum reform, effective teaching task put forward, teachersmore clearly the work requirement and effort direction:" how to adapt to thedevelopment of the society, how to improve the teaching skills, how to promotestudents’ all-round development". Then, as a history teacher to solve these problems,first must be clear features of history course and targeted to carry out the teaching ofhistory.In2003the Ministry of Education issued the" ordinary high school historycurriculum standard (Trial)" to the discipline of history this position:" the ordinaryhigh school history curriculum, is to use historical materialism explanation of theprocess of development of human history and law, further training and improving thestudents’ awareness of the history, cultural quality and humanistic quality, to promoteall-round development of students to a door foundation course." There is a referencein the historical consciousness, historical consciousness should be cultural quality,humanity quality formation conditions, historical consciousness should be high schoolhistory teachers in the teaching of history in the pursuit of the ultimate goal.However, throughout the various similar research, the historical consciousness,cultivating high school students’ awareness of the history books and articles are veryfew, that is to say the historical consciousness and did not cause the majority ofhistorical education. In the teaching of history in the process, the majority ofeducators still continue the traditional teaching method and mode, to spoon,knowledge transfer to education in twenty-first Century children, how to get highmarks in examinations, how to teach a college entrance exam for the ultimate goal ofhistory teaching. So the original mystery, deep, rich and colorful history in such ateaching system becomes dull, monotonous, unattractive.So how to develop high school students’ consciousness of history? This papermainly from the following several aspects: the problem of historical consciousnessconnotation; high school students history widespread lack of awareness of themanifestations and causes of history class; remodeling, improve teaching skills; highschool students consciousness of history culture should pay attention to the problem.
