On The Study Of Plights And Countermeasures Of Ideological And Political In Independent Colleges

Independent college, as an important part of higher education in China, derives fromhigher education reform and innovation in mode organization, which is an emergingschool-running model. As the independent college specializes in the management system, theway of running a school and student sources, the ideological and political education inindependent colleges have its own characteristics.This paper, based on the example of College R and grounded on several significanttheories in the area of ideological and political education, is aimed at analyzing the status quoand dilemma of ideological and political education of independent colleges. This paper isdivided into four parts. First, it attempts to find out the issues existing in the current situationof students’ education in ideology and politics, which serves the purpose of enhancing sucheducational goal both in the theoretical and applicable way. Second, it focuses on the efficientapproaches to the application of ideological and political education. Third, it explores the newmethods to the implementation of the education. Finally, the paper demonstrates feasible andsuggestive approaches serving as a beneficial guidance for the development of ideologicaleducation of the independent college.
