As the master of the21st century, today’s college students are suffering heavier and heavier pressure in the heated social competition, confronting more and more challenges, and taking bigger and bigger tasks. So it’s unavoidable that they meet different kinds of frustrations and difficulties. With the further development of the reform of the Chinese higher education system, college students are suffereing increasing pressure from different aspects, and their mental capacity encounters severe challenge. Therefore the study of conducting frustration education to college students becomes a big project of theoretical and practical significance, which is a focus in all the countries around the world. The frustration education in our country is still in its infancy, and according to this status quo. the study of conducing frustration education is not only helpful for improving the ability of anti-frustration of college students, but also necessary for promoting quality education completely, and for pushing forward the social scientific development in our country, and it is a significant component of college ideological education and mental health education as well. The present paper combines the relevant theories and methods of ideological and political education, education and psychology, starts from illustrating the theoretical framework, the goal and the content of frustration education, and explores the connotation, function and meaning of frustration education positively. Based on the international experience of conducting frustration education, the present study makes an investigation and analysis of the present situation of the frustration education in colleges and universities in Hebei province, and puts forward some effective methods of conducting frustration education in colleges and universities and some practical strategies of perfecting psychological intervention system for college students’ mental frustration. The present study not only provides favorite case study analysis and practical basis for the studies about the frustration education on college students at present, enriches theories on frustration education, broadens the study field of frustration education, and widens the study perspectives in China, it is also of strong feasibility for improving the psychological quality and anti-frustration ability of college students, and for perfecting the characters of college students, thus advancing the building of frustration education system in a long term.
