On Student’s Ideological Status In Independent College Of Shanxi

In recent years,with the great-leap-forward development of highereducation, independent colleges in Shanxi province have been developingrapidly and playing an important role in higher education of Shanxi.With thedevelopment and progress of our society and economy and increasinglydeveloped cultural diversity,students’ ideological status in independent collegeof Shanxi has undergone tremendous changes,which result in a series ofproblems.Therefore,study on students’ ideological status is of great significanceto improvement and innovation of the existed ideological and politicaleducation,as well as improvement of students’ comprehensive quality inindependent college of Shanxi.Based on the systematic investigation on eight independent colleges inShanxi,this present paper mainly discusses students’ ideological status inindependent colleges of Shanxi on the multidisciplinary level of sociology andphilosophy with the theoretical basis of the western humanism,the overalldevelopment of Marxism,and the inter-subject theory of ideological and political education.On the survey of600college students from eight independent colleges,thispaper carries out in-depth analysis of students’ ideological status,existedproblems and reasons of the present situation on the basis of the result ofinvestigation.The method employed in this thesis is questionnaire,individualinterviews and random survey.It comes to the conclusion that the elementswhich will have effect on students’ ideological status include the fourfactors,namely,society,school,family,and students themselves.Focusing onself-cultivation and social environment support level of students in independentcollege of Shanxi,this paper puts forward some measures to improve thestudents’ ideological status from the following5aspects,which are,renewing theconcept of ideological and political education,strengthening ideological andpolitical theory reform,widening the way of ideological and politicaleducation,and improving the ideological and political educationmechanism.These suggestions try to make contribution to the improvement ofstudent’s ideological status,and consequently,to promote the harmonious,healthy and sustainable development of independent colleges in Shanxi.
