Study On Incorporating Socialist Core Value System In Higher Education

The path study of combination of socialist core value system and collegeeducation is one important part of socialist core value system integrated into nationaleducation. By using some Marxism theories and methods, and based on the profoundresearch on the combination of socialist core value system with some practical collegeeducation problems, this paper is to elaborate the methods and paths which can integratehigher education and socialist core value system.There are totally three chapters in this thesis which cover the study of themethods of integration of higher education and socialist core value system.The first chapter accounts for the background of the socialist core value system’sintegration into the higher education system. The combination of socialist core valuesystem with higher education has mature social conditions and great significance. Thesocial conditions include politic conditions, economy conditions and culture conditions.The integration importance can be shown from three aspects: first, socialist core valuesystem is the necessary condition of spiritual power focus; second, it’s the importantsupport of harmonious social construction; third, it’s the guarantee of socialist successortraining. It also elaborates socialist core value system’s important functions in highereducation from four aspects which are training of talented people, scientific pursuit,social services and culture innovation.The second chapter expounds the current situation and existing problems ofsocialist core value system in integrating with higher education. It explains definitely thecontribution and weaknesses of this integration. At the same time, it also explores deeplythe internal reasons and external factors of the existing problems.Chapter three focuses on the analysis of the basic paths of the integration ofsocialist core value system into higher education. It is believed that we need to, in thelong run, strengthen the role of the guidance of the socialist core value system in highereducation, we should insist on Marxism principles, we should foster a common ideal forsocialism with Chinese characteristics, we should lay the foundations of ethics acceptedby our whole nation, and we should set criteria of social practices. In all integrationpractices, we should emphasize higher education ideological and political teaching’s main channel roles, we should foster an ideological and political teaching team withhighly competent people, and we should improve the integration timeliness.
