During Renaissance, as the transition period from the dark Middle Ages to themodern world, the classical culture revived. And the education of the long-term beingcontrolled and oppressed women had developed and was given a special form andcontent. The study of the education of women in the Renaissance period is veryimportant to the research of the Women’s History of Renaissance. And itshows the characteristic of diversification, both religionization and secularization, specialization and generalization of the women education during Renaissance, and theemerging skill education. This paper discards the dross and keeps the fine part of the predecessors’ research. Itdescribes the situation of women education in Renaissance on the background of theloosing domination of the Church, and shows the picture of a multilevel womeneducation. This paper expounds the content and level of women education by selectingthree different kinds of women from different times as specimens: a. church nuns withgood education foundations from early Renaissance; b. noble women who accepted allsorts of educations from middle Renaissance; c. civilian women who were taughtaccording to practical demands from late Renaissance. This paper includes three parts. The first part is introduction, which introduces thereason, writing ideas and the relevant research dynamic from both domestic and overseas. The second part is the main body, which includes three sections: the first sectionintroduces the social background of the women education in the Renaissance period; thesecond section elaborates the education status of women from social ranks; and the thirdsection analyses the changes that the Renaissance women education had brought. Thethird part of this paper is the conclusion. This paper shows that the women education in the Renaissance period extendedfrom religion world to secular society, from the class level to the general public, relatively wider and deeper. As the result of the development of women education, someelite-women images emerged from history, but they could not stand for women from all walks of life, because the progress of the women class did not improve much. Theexpected vigorous reformation of women class in the Renaissance period never occurred.
