Britain used to be an empire of the sun, not only its political system had a profound effect, but also its history of education is influential in recent times. As an important stage of the transition period- the Renaissance education can let us understand Britain’s many aspects, such as social,economic and political content from a cultural perspective, which has a certain academic value. What is more, to study the period of education is helpful for the author who is going to be engaged in the education career, which has a certain practical value.British education has experienced from medieval church education to secular education in the Renaissance. The period of the development of education not only get rid of the bondage of the world in theology, but also has brought the secular knowledge and scientific value orientation, it makes the social transformation modern. In European medieval Christian culture is the mainstream education full of god’s divine, medieval Britain education deeply branded with the religion, church, to cultivate the faithful servant of god. In mid and late 14th century, the Renaissance from the European continent began in Britain, Britain’s new academic is affected. New academic began to spread in Britain in the 15th century, it profoundly affected the British form of school education and the change of the content, Britain’s education presents a kind of individualism and the secular new atmosphere. But at the moment, the church is still dominant in education. As the religious reformation in the 16th century, British education ideas have developed toward secularization deeply. Humanism ideological trend under the influence of the education concept has changed to an independent thinking ability, the pursuit of self-worth. In addition, the state of different social groups affected by education,which promotes the development of the relationship between education and society.
