In the information age, reading has become one to improve their quality of lifeand a way of life, good reading habits of the students’ overall development and tobetter adapt to the future society has very important significance.Extracurricular reading habits in reading for students in the process of practice,subjective consciousness after many repetitions and practice gradually form arelatively stable attitude and behavior, students in the reading process should have akind of ability. Reading habit for students’ Chinese learning will have a direct impact,good reading habits conducive to the development of the students’ reading skills,improve reading efficiency, and enhance students comprehensive languageaccomplishment, make its benefit life.The research on the reading habits of importance on the basis of the study,through investigation, mainly on the7-9grade students in extracurricular readinghabits on the existing problems, analysis of its causes, and puts forwardcountermeasures. The paper is divided into four parts.The introduction part mainly elaborates the problem, literature review andtheoretical basis.The first chapter elaborates the reading habits of students the importance andbasic content. Habits for the middle school students to improve the overall quality andthe lifetime development plays a key role. This article mainly from the student mainbody consciousness strengthen, the rich knowledge, intellectual thinking developmentand lifelong learning ability and sense are spelled out. In the reading habits of basiccontent, it has good habits and bad habits, then has carried on the comprehensivesummary description.The second chapter mainly through the questionnaire survey analysis, the7-9grade students in extracurricular reading habits, demonstrated by the problem and itscauses in detail and description. In the investigation of problems mainly from thestudents brains, hands, mouth on the habits of students in the analysis, these habits onthe problem, and then from the social environment, school guidance, family atmosphere and its cause of formation were elucidated in detail.The third chapter mainly based on a chapter of students in extra-curricularreading habits and causes of the problems, should pay attention to the students’existing bad reading habits to be corrected, so as to cultivate their good reading habits.Good reading habit is not a personal responsibility, the effect is not to get instantresults, which needs schools, teachers, students, families and other aspects from theideological understanding and practice of all to pay attention to and strengthen,homogeneous force fit for cultivating students good reading habits give suggestions.
