As an important type of teaching, the lecture on test paper commentand appraisal can not only help teachers know where their students needto be improved timely and exactly, but also enable students to enlighteneach other, to optimize thinking, to summarize the law as well as toimprove their ability to analyze and solve problems.There are various kinds of examinations for the senior students ofhigh school, ranging from the municipal mocks to monthly exams, weeklytests and unit tests, which aim to help students check their missingknowledge, thus enable them to improve and perfect their knowledge.However, most of the teachers just treat lectures on test paper commentand appraisal as review lessons and exercise classes, for lacking ofscientific and efficient methods. So, lectures on test paper comment andappraisal has difficulty in playing itself to full effects. Consequently,students cannot understand why they are wrong and impress themselveson the correct conclusions. As a result, most students make same mistakeswhere they have made before. Teachers have to sigh “The young men arenot worthy to be taught!”. While job burnout resulting from themechanically repetition of work also can neither make a win-win situationnor enjoy the happiness of growth for both teachers and students. Theauthor expects to conclude a set of feasible teaching strategy to realize more efficient teaching through continuous explorations and practices,and finally enable students to face the entrance examination moreconfidently, while acquiring some life-long useful geographicalknowledge. At the same time, teachers and students can enjoy thehappiness of development in the innovative environment of teaching.This thesis studies through such a procedure as “current situationinvestigation-study summary-strategy presetting-class practice(repeating)-strategy revision-model forming” by means of investigationand action research. The research is explored in3aspects as follows:1Research on teaching: including studies on preparations beforeclass, comment and appraisal parts, and reflections on examinationafter class.2Research on ways of teaching and learning for efficient lectures ofcomment and appraisal: including studies on teaching methods andlearning methods.3Research on teaching effects of the lecture on test paper commentand appraisal: including studies on full-mark paper, student’saccumulation of errors and self-development of teachers andstudents.At last, the thesis sums up a scientific and effective teaching strategyfor the lecture on test paper comment and appraisal which is suitable forsenior students of high school.
