| Sports is one of the most important symbols to reflect the progress of humansociety and civilization. As a special symbol of human civilization, it has the nature ofsocial activities, management activities as well as educational activities. Also it hasaccumulated a knowledge-based system, forming a specific relationship between theinternals. This relationship has associated with the external environment relationshipand experienced the challenge of history, as a result, the competitive sports culture hascome into being. As the core of the Olympic movements, sports culture surpasses thescope of the general sports culture and has become the mainstream culture of socialdevelopment, illustrating the special nature of sports. Sports’ increasingly prosperouscondenses the wisdom of people. And people’s awareness of sports is the power andfoundation for its sustainable and healthy development. Preliminary formation of theathletic sports contents and knowledge systems provide rich conditions for theconstruction of sports subject, which is necessary to make studies on athletic sports andits disciplines. By using the methods of literature material, expert interview, andquestionnaire and so on, taking sports discipline system as the research object, thispaper mainly focuses on the contents of realistic conditions, objects, methods, contentsand nature for the establishment of sports discipline. The main results are as follows：1、Athletic sports is the crystallization of the civilization of human society culture.Its development and enrichment is the driving force for the formation of a certainsubject. The demands of the athletes and their teams in the practice of competitivesports, the complexity of sports system as well as the integration of medicine, education,psychology, sociology and other disciplines are the basis for the creation of sportsdisciplines.2、The main research objects of competitive sports are people and organizations,including athletes, coaches, managers, administrators, scientific researches, medicalsupport staff and their athletic sports team. Individual competitive behavior and teamorganizational behavior is the scope of sports. 3、As an application discipline, the research methods of athletic sports sciences arethe combination of qualitative and quantitative empirical research paradigms. We usesurvey methods and quantitative analysis to demonstrate the principles and laws in thepractice of the competitive sports, discriminating the basic and major theoreticalproblems in sports，which is the basis of the methodology of sports。4、The research content is the development and concreteness of the object of thestudy. Sports’ research content with two categories, time and space. From the timedimension, it includes personnel selection and content of education, sports training andcompetition organizations, athletes and sports team participation and control, the sportsevents organization and management and the competitive sports organization culture etc.And on the dimension of space, there are two core issues, which are athletic abilitiesand competitive loads of the athletic teams.5、Competitive sports study belongs to motor technology subject. According to thenature of the subject, the physical education training school should be divided intoSports Education and Athletic Physical Education, which is parallel with HumanMovement Science, Sports Humanistic Sociology and Ethnic Traditional Sports.6、The majors of athletic sports science can set up courses including Sports andSkills Theories, Psychological Theories of Physical education, Sports Management andSocial Theories, Sports and Organizational Behavior Theories as well as CompetitiveTalent Science, Athletic Training, Athletic Competition, Competitive SportsOrganization and Management. |
