Therefore the study on the rules in tackling technique in football is prominently important, especially effectiveness and rationality of the tackling has more practical significance. This paper reviewed the experience of football experts and scholars based on " routine technical statistics " method tackles in time, making statistics and analysis about region, direction, way, players location and use effect, the fouls of the tackling technology. In this paper, using the method of literature, video observation, technical statistics, mathematical statistics and other research methods, the finals in26games of2011American Cup and the finals in31games2012European Cup as the research object, make observation, statistics, comparative analysis on the application features of tackling technology in competition. Find out features and laws of the tackling technique used in American and European competition at high level under two different cultural backgrounds, different ideas and different styles, the similarities and differences provide the opportunity for our football players, coaches to learn about the tackling technology of high level teams in the world, but also provide the theory reference for scientific training and competition.Through the study, we found the application of tackling technology in American team and European team of high level are very similar, showed no difference in a number of statistical index contrast, that portrays the technology has no bearing with cultural background, technical style and tactics and is connected with the degree of the intensity in competition the quality of mastering techniques. Through the contrast obtains the following points:first, using average tackling, and the average tackling in upper and lower half competition in Europe and the United States, portraying physical distribution of the players at half-time in the game is reasonable, second, the time characteristics of tackling technology is similar, the upper half presents from rising to decreasing, the second half reached a peak and then decline.
