| With the developing of the curriculum reforms of high schools in various provinces,LiaoNing Province also entered into the curriculum reform in2006, which focused onthe improving scientific literacy of students. As an old but also new topic of Chemicaleducation, chemistry history with its unique educational function provides a newbreakthrough for the ongoing chemical curriculum reform, and becomes a veryimportant starting point of improving students’ scientific literacy. Deeply understandingand exploring the educational function of chemical history and searching for effectiveeducational method have become the important subjects of theory and practice researchin basic chemical education field. This thesis analyses the current educational status,existing problems and influence factors of chemical history education in high schoolsby using research and some other methods. Also, this paper discusses theimplementation of chemical history education and other issues.The main contents of this paper as shown as follows:Part one is introduction. This part briefly describes the research background, thepresentation of the problem and the purpose, meaning and the research methods of thestudy by combining the presentation of the concept of new chemistry courses in highschools and the requirements of the new curriculum ideas on the chemical historyeducation.Part two summarizes and analyses the contents of chemical history in thechemistry textbook (Person Teaching Edition) of high schools during the period ofbefore and after the curriculum reform by combining with the practice of chemicaleducation. It is divided into compulsory and elective in the eight new person teachingedition textbooks. They all show the convergence point of chemical history education intabular form, and give the implementation methods and recommendations of thechemical history contents in the textbooks combining with practical experience inteaching.Part three mainly describes the current educational status of chemical history in thenew courses circumstance, and analyses the results of questionnaire completing byteachers and students.In part four, by the analysis of current educational status of chemical history, itshows the existing problems of current education in chemical history in high school,and gives the reasons of the problems as well as the influenced factors. Part five is the conclusions and recommendations of the research. It draws theconclusions of the current educational status of chemical history and gives therecommendations about the smooth development of chemical history education in highschools.With the pushing forward of curriculum reforms, the educational value of chemicalhistory in the field of high schools’ chemical education attracts increasing attention. Theauthor hopes that this paper can help develop the research of chemical history educationin high schools and innovate the implementation methods of chemical history education,thereby promoting the achievement of the goals of curriculum reforms. |
