With the development of society, Internet has become an important tool for people’scommunication, work and study. Contemporary college students are the largest user group ofInternet,and the network has a profound impact on their learning activities. While through theinvestigation, we find that many college students are keen to the Internet, but the number ofstudents who use the network to study is not large. Actually, many students only use it as anentertainment tool.Although the course is a whole school compulsory, the teaching effect of Ideological andpolitical theory course is often not recognized by some college students. The networkprovides an opportunity for the improvement of teaching methods of ideological and politicaltheory course, so how to make use of the network and its technology to serve the course hasbecome the subject of many domestic and foreign experts.Through the questionnaires, we find that the evaluation of ideological and politicaltheory course by college students is general. The recognition of the taught teaching is notgood, and the other new teaching methods are gradually accepted by college studentsalthough they are not frequently used. Through understanding, we know that college studentsexpect teachers to take advantage of the network to assist teaching. They are not content withbeing the recipient of the course, but willing to interact with teachers, and participate in thecourse. College students which are sensitive to society also want teachers to make use ofinstances, and bring current affairs, social hot spots, as well as their lives to the classroom,thus making the classroom more live. Compared with theoretical lectures, college studentsprefer to practice teaching. They hope to have more experience to practice the bookknowledge. At the same time, they hope their teachers to be humorous, allowing theclassroom to become interesting. Also, they hope that their teachers can flexibly use a varietyof teaching methods to enhance the teaching effectiveness.Based on the new requirements of college students, and combined with the backgroundof the network environment, teachers can be familiar with the use of modern informationtechnology, communicate with students via network technology, and make use of the networkresource advantage to serve the implementation of teaching methods. Most important, allthose measures should focus on stimulating students’ thinking. Meanwhile, teachers can alsouse information technology to simulate the real environment, and enhance the experience ofstudents’ knowledge. In the classroom, teachers should understand students’ psychology, anduse students’ favorite language style. When out of the classroom, teachers can consult theirstudents on the skills of teaching methods and improve their information literacy. If theconditions are allowed, they can also establish an effective network teaching platform to assistclass-teaching.
