China’s basic education reform is in groping swing. Education reform asks teachers’ tobe more abundant and complete. Teacher’s curriculum knowledge is one of the hottest issuesin education study. As one of the important constituent of the teacher’s knowledge,curriculum knowledge influence teacher’s concept, action and ability of teaching. Theimproving of teacher curriculum knowledge has very important effect on teacher’sprofessionalization. China’s basic education reform is both the implementation of acurriculum reform, and a realization of the process of professionalization of teachers. Thelevelof teachers’ professionalization influences the result of the basic educationreform. Withthe deepening of the education reform, the study about teac her is developing rapid. The studyof the teacher’s curriculum knowledge is becoming a very important field of educationstudies.This paper mainly uses the literature and investigation method to research the curriculumknowledge on novice and expert physics teachers. First, we use the method of literature andcombed the relevant theory, just as “Curriculum Theory”,“Humanistic Theory”,“Constructivism Theory”,“Theory of Professionalization of Teacher”. We point out thatteacher’s curriculum knowledge consist of basis knowledge and developmental knowledge.We analyse the reasons of influencing the developing of teacher’s curriculum knowledge onsubjective and objective factor. Then, we investigate the difference between novice physicsteachers and expert physics teachers. The investigation content includes the actuality ofteacher’s curriculum knowledge, the influencing factor and the strategy of teacher’scurriculum knowledge development. Last, we put forward some suggestion about developingteacher’s curriculum knowledge.Survey results show that the status of physic teacher’s curriculum knowledge is not verygood. Expert teacher’s curriculum knowledge is better than novice teacher’s. This is mainlyrelated to the school age, the level of leaning and the co ncept of education. Teacher shouldpromote curriculum knowledge gradually in teaching. Colleague, school, society also shouldoffer condition for teacher to improve teacher’s curriculum knowledge and the level ofprofessionalization.
