Evaluation language means teachers’ reactions and settlements to students’responses, an important part of classroom questions and answers. Based on the theoryof especial association in teaching, we can assume that evaluation language is of highvalue in students’ study, teachers’ growth and classroom culture. However, the currentstudy of evaluation language especially of Chinese evaluation language is too deficientto meet practical needs. Therefore, this study focuses on Chinese in elementary school,hoping to find out the characters and problems of Chinese evaluation language and tofind out a way to increase the efficiency. This thesis adopts the methods both of qualityand quantity, along with text analysis, classroom observation, interview andquestionnaires. There are eight parts in this thesis:First, I introduce the reason why to focus on the questions and its meaning. Secondpart is the literature review. In this part, I mainly analyse the concept, kinds, efficiencyways, principles, skills, characters and problems of good evaluation language. Third,introducing the research methods and ideas. Then I analysed the current statement ofelementary school Chinese evaluation language. Next, I point out the good charactersand problems of elementary school Chinese evaluation language. The sixth part isanalysing the factors which affect elementary school Chinese evaluation language,which is key to raising efficiency of elementary school Chinese evaluation language.The seventh part is strategies seeking to raise the efficiency of elementary schoolChinese evaluation language. Final part is conclusion, concluding the problems andfuture orientation of this study.
