Under the background of present popularization of higher education, the employment difficulty is the main challenge of the vocational graduates. However, in the process of recruiting, the employers are often faced with the problem that is hard to recruit suitable vocational graduates. The root of the antinomian phenomenon lies that the actual professional competence of the vocational graduates isn’t fit for the employers’ requirements. Physical competence is not only the basic competence of an individual, but also an important component of one’s professional competence. Physical education is an integrated education which fuses the knowledge of physiology, psychology, sociology and praxiology together. This feature determines that physical education takes an incomparable advantage over other subjects on cultivation of students’ professional competence. Therefore, at the last stage of vocational students’taking in physical education and the crucial period of forming good physical competence, how to educate the students proper physical competence to satisfy the employers’requirement and achieve the goals of improving students’professional competence, enhancing their competitiveness and realizing full employment should become a realistic problem and important task that are faced with vocational physical education. Currently, the research of physical competence is mainly reflected in the connotation and formation of physical competence, cultivation mode of undergraduates’physical competence and the function of undergraduates’physical competence towards competence education development, while it is scarcely studied on how to educate the students’professional competence and how to improve their employment competitiveness from employers aspect. Those problems are precisely become an inevitable issue in front of decision makers of vocational colleges and physical educators.This thesis mainly employs documentation method, questionnaire survey, observation, statistic analysis method, comparative research and logical analysis, etc. On the basis of summarizing and using the references of other scholars’research achievements on physical competence, the thesis takes employers’evaluation of vocational students’physical competence as a pointcut and an unique prospect, from the contradiction that present situation of vocational students’physical competence cannot satisfy the evaluation and requirements of the employers, it conducts a deep study and systematic exploration on cultivation of vocational students’physical competence. During the research, the thesis takes an overall and systematic survey on employers’ evaluation and requirements on vocational students’physical competence. Through comparing the requirements and the current situation of vocational students’ physical competence, it further reveals the difference between them. Hereby, the thesis naturally analyzes the cultivating method and mode of vocational students’physical competence so as to attain the aim of improving the vocational students’ physical competence and enhancing their employment competitiveness from the prospect of promoting physical competence.The thesis is composed of four chapters. The first chapter is introduction, which introduces the reasons for choosing the title, research value, research design, literature review and the stress, difficulty and innovation of the research. Chapter two mainly introduces the research objects, research methods and hypothesis. Chapter three includes research results and discussion. It discourses that vocational students’physical competence is an important window of professional competence in theory. And it also examines the employers’ evaluation on vocational students’ physical competence from empirical aspects. Chapter four is the conclusion and suggestions. Through the above research, it comes up with five conclusions and it puts forward cultivating physical competence to match the employers’ requirements from the five aspects of making clear the aim of physical education, enriching physical teaching contents, innovating physical teaching mode, perfecting physical evaluation method and developing extracurricular activities.
