Fundamental chemical theory is the main content of the senior school chemistry course. The fundamental chemical theory is formed during the development process of material changes researched by chemistry science. It is the basic thinking method to understanding the chemical motion law and chemical science. Among the basic theoretical knowledge, it is not only the specific performance of the basic theory. From teaching perspective, it can make students understand some commonsense knowledge, such as the rules of material changes. Scientists’ intelligence is fully manifested during the development process of the fundamental chemical theory. All these intelligence are beyond imagination. All the fundamental chemical theory shines with scientists’ brilliant thoughts and establishes the thinking method on knowing the material motion law. Thus fundamental theory contains a large amount of material on inspiring human thinking. These are ideal material to promote human’s thinking, train students’ creative thinking and cultivate students’ innovation ability. Therefore, the fundamental chemical theory is not only the pure mastery of knowledge, but also has very important meaning for students on establishing the scientific thinking method, formatting the scientific think and training the innovation ability.This paper analyzes the meanings and characteristics of the fundamental chemical theory teaching and meaning constructivist teaching. From the angle of the chemistry development history, it introduces the formation of chemical theory, researches on the reason and different related significance between the theory and other knowledge, makes a study of the significance for consciously conducting students to construct the fundamental chemical theory actively in teaching process and acquire the scientific thinking method.On the basis of theoretic theory, the paper utilizes the meaning construction teaching theory and teaching process in teaching. The generic condition of the process is constructed in the meaning construction teaching of fundamental chemical theory. That is:the stage of perceiving fact and raising questions to the stage of using chemical thinking method and the stage that concept forms presumption to the stage of verifying the presumption to the stage of integrating theories to the stage of application of the theory, and it theoretically makes an elaborate analysis of teaching method of different stages in teaching.At the same time, the paper formulates measures for helping students construct independently various meaningful construction strategies in teaching, has designed the basic method of evaluating students’ fundamental theoretic meaning construction level and the basic teaching concept of "accessing, promoting and teaching." It not only tests students’basic theory level through basic theoretical connotation exercises, but also it requires that teachers should meticulously set some special elaborate problems and detect the completeness of the fundamental theory construction.On the basis of theory research, this paper is accompanied by teaching design cases of fundamental theory, and meanwhile it employs the basic teaching theory of meaning construction into practical chemical teaching of senior school and makes a comparison about teaching experimental research between the experimental class and the antithetical class. It suggests that students in experimental class have more excellent abilities for learning and their grades are improved more in the teaching experimental research. Furthermore the research results show that the complete significance to help students build comprehensive chemical basic theories in the process of teaching, not only makes the students to master the basic theoretical knowledge, and moreover, develops the students’ thinking, promotes the development of students’thinking ability and realize the basic goals of chemical theory.
