Recently, with the emphasis on the nation’s tradition culture,people come to know the nation’s traditional sports. Carrying forward theculture of the nation’s traditional sports has become one of the mostimportant tasks in recent time. Pearl ball sport is the most representativeitem in the nation’s traditional sports. It is also a traditional sport ofMancu in China. The original name was caizhenzhu. Therefore, thedevelopment of pearl ball sport in Heilongjiang Province has hugeadvantages over it in other areas.With the research method of documentary data, questionnaire,interview and mathematical statistics, this thesis analyzes thecharacteristics of the Pearl Ball sport and the present situation of thedevelopment of the pearl ball sport in Universities of HeilongjiangProvince. And it also points out many obstacle factors and thecountermeasures to the development of pearl ball sport, which will pavethe way for the development of the pearl ball physical course inUniversities of Heilongjiang Province. In this way, it will not only change the old pattern of the non-major physical education of universities inHeilongjiang Province, but also expand the original courses, which willenrich the students’ item choices, and thus, stimulate the students’interests in order to serve the purpose of exercise. The thesis illustratesthe feasibility of pearl ball sport development in universities ofHeilongjiang Province.
