The Sports College Entrance Examination In Jiangsu Province Practical Examination Project Settings And Scoring Criteria

Thousands of talented people have been chosen for our country since the resumption of the College Entrance Examination(CEE) in1977. The Provincial Examination for the Physical Education Major(PEPEM), being an important part of the CEE, shuolders the responsibility of recruiting talented people, determines the future path of the candidates and composes a crucial turning point of their lives. Under the background of the examination-oriented education in China, the PEPEM is highly concerned by people from each area and input with abundant manpower and fund, thus touches the nerves of the candidates, their parents and their PE teachers. The Ordinary College Admission Test for the PEM of Jiangsu Province is an important means to choose the talented PE candidates for further education and makes indelible contributions in the aspects of training senior coaches, PE teachers for the primary and secondary schools and community instructors for our country.The PEM examination is different from that of the academic courses. Based on its own characteristics, it checkks the physical quality and the specialty technique of the candidates through fair play and admitting the best according to certin marking criteria. Therefore, the rationality and the scientificity of the subject setup, the examination method and the marking criteria directly affect the recruiting quality. This paper tries to research on the rationality of the subject setup and the scientificity of the marking criteria of the College Entrance Examination for the Physical Education of Jiangsu Province and propose some feasible advices.Through documentation, questionnaire, interviews and mathematical statistic, this paper further analyzes the physicall quality results of the candidates of2011CEE for PE of Jiangsu Province and comes to the conclusion that:1. the package physical quality test (100m race, triple jump, shot pot and800m race), as the additional examination for the CEE for PE of Jiangsu Province, cannot completely stand for the physical quality of the candidates.2.72%of the surveyed peopie think that the package physical quality test of the CEE for PE of Jiangsu Province is adjustable. Almost all the teachers fully understand the marking criteria for the test subjects while comparatively PE candidates have a low level knowledge of the marking criteria. More than70%figure that the marking criteria for100m race, triple jump and800m race are reasonable and82%consider that the marking criteria for the shot put is unreasonable.3. The Physical quality results of the four subjects of2011PE additional test of Jiangsu Province for the male and the female conform to the normal distribution.4. The subject with the highest marks for the male and the female in the2011PE test of Jiangsu Province is the triple jump while that with the lowest marks for the female is the shot put. In addition, as for the shot put, the results of the male are better than those of the female, as for100m race, the results of the female are better than those of the male.5. The difficulty of the marking criteria for100m race, shot put and800m race for the male and the female is modest and that for triple jump for the male and the female is relatively easy, the discrimination of the four physical quality tests for the male and the female reaches the required standard Rrmarkbly, the discrimination of the100m race for the female is0.2052, which is questionable.6. Apart from800m race, the results for the other three tests of the four physical quality tests in the2011CEE for PE of Jiangsu Province indicates quite outstanding variability.7. The four physical quality tests setup by Jiangsu Province are independent to a certain extent and can basically reflect the properties of the physical quality tested.8. Know from the correlation analysis that:except that the triple jump is highly correlated to the100m race, other three subjects are lowly correlated to each other, and the results for each quality test for the male and the female is significantly correlated to the total marks of the quality tests.9. By establishing two sets of quaternion regression equations and know from the variance analisis and the accuracy analysis, these two sets of equations have a significant effect and a relatively high reliability, which is acceptable for the mathematical model to predict the physical quality developing trend of the PE candidates in Jiangsu province.
