For seven years of teaching, I’ve been concerned with the students’ reading. In thepopular culture, readings are vulgar and students’ reading attitudes are flighty though theirreadings are of wider range, which make their readings more utilitarian. It is hard for students toconstruct sound reading schema script. What is worse is that students cannot use the readingschema script to guide their readings, let alone to develop the reading schema script. The worstresult is that students cannot develop their language systematic quality.Reading is an important way to collect information, know the world, develop humanthinking and get aesthetic experiences according to new curriculum criterion for Chinese.During reading, we should pay attention to personalized reading. In this kind of reading, students will bring all their life experiences and accumulated knowledge into play, which willgive them special feelings and experiences in their positive thinking and emotional activities. This procedure will develop their skills in imagination, logical thinking and criticism. All thisrequires researches on the students’ psychology while reading. The criterion requires students tolearn to read from multi-angle and multi-level so as to get new experiences and findings fromclassic works constantly and to be bold in presenting your point of view, respect another’s workacknowledgement, improve study capability continuously and cultivate precise, fatalisticatmosphere.Since students tend to read by cell-phone and network and what they read are vulgar. Tochange their reading approach and attitudes so as to make reading an important way ofinformation collection, world apprehension, thinking development and aesthetic experiencesobtainment is difficult. We need to analyze students’ reading psychology and take advantage ofreading schema script to change the breadth and depth of their readings. This paper falls into four parts. The first part focuses on the explanation of reading schema script in popular culture, including the concept of reading schema script and the loss of reading schema script in popularculture. It is hard to predict, supplement and sort reading materials for the reading schema scriptin popular culture. This problem may be an issue of concern to us. The second part focuses on the characteristics of reading schema script in popularculture, including the constitutive property, changeability and initiative. In the teaching, teachers should take notice of the change of students’ psychology and the characteristics ofreading schema script, at the same time, teachers should help students to establish readingschema script pertinently. As a result, their reading schema script develops greatly both fromthe quality and quantity. The third part focuses on construction of the reading schema script from readingmaterials, reading approaches and reading attitudes. Students’ reading are of very narrow range, they seldom read classic works, some of them just read their school textbooks, what is worse isthat some students indulge themselves in reading trivial network novels. Reading of paperdocuments are considered out-dated and reading network documents by phone a kind of fashion.Their reading attitude changed as well, they tend to read for pleasure and leisure but not forstudy. In this part, we talked about the problem and how to solve the problem in teaching. The fourth part focuses on the problems of reading schema script in popular culture inteaching that we should pay attention to. We mainly discuss them from the angle of using theaudio-visual resources from network and multi-media and the illustrations on the textbooksreasonably, diversifying the organization of the classroom form, enlarging the extension of theirknowledge and the influence of teachers based on the textbook.
