In the time of globalization and knowledge economy, education plays anincreasing important role in all the countries around the world. All kinds of educationmodels which have their own advantages are emerging, International BaccalaureateDiploma Program is one of those excellent models.Began in1960s,International Baccalaureate Diploma Program spent about40years to spread in more than140countries and be accepted by more than3000universities including Harvard and Cambridge around the world. From thebeginning, International Baccalaureate Diploma Program had only The DiplomaProgram, and now it has4programmes:The Diploma Program, Middle schoolprogramme, primary school programme and occupation programme. Why couldInternational Baccalaureate Diploma Program be generally accepted? How does itsupervise the schools all over the world and could achieve so excellent achievements?Standardization management`origin is from business, and was quoted in educationin1980s.In order to improve the quality of teaching, standard management`s ordered,unified and effective way of supervise is the most important thing we appreciate.By using literature method, describing and giving examples,this paper gathers agreat number of materials, International Baccalaureate Diploma Program`s rules andregulations, documents and standardizations to research International BaccalaureateDiploma Program. To understand the operation of International BaccalaureateDiploma Program well, I choose the school application, curriculum, students`assessand organization as my research aspects.There are five parts in my paper.Part one introduces International Baccalaureate Diploma Program`theoreticalprinciples and its Realistic basis, including total quality control, standardmanagement.Part two is the introductions of International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and its organizations. From the aspects of unique courses and evaluation,organizationsand their responsibilities of International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, I analysethe characteristics of International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.Part three introduces International Baccalaureate Diploma Program`s standardmanagement operations. This part contains four aspects: the procedure of applicationsof schools and IB`s inspection; courses`installations, developments and reformulation;the procedure of students`evaluation; teachers`recruitment and training. Combiningwith subjects, this part tells how the standard management operated.Part four analyses the obstacles in the operation of International BaccalaureateDiploma Program.Part five is the enlightenment for China.As the author of knowledge is limited,it is inevitable for omissions,asked teathersto give guidance...
