Research On The Development Of Youth Tennis In Suzhou Industrial Park

Tennis is an attractive sport which is competitive， cultural， spectator andparticipatory. With the remarkable achievements made by the Chinese tennis players inthe international tennis tournament， cultivating reserve talents with developmentpotential becomes an important task for the sustainable development of tennis sports.According to research， Suzhou Industrial Park has a huge tennis developmentpotential， especially in the cultivation of young tennis players. This is significant forthe increase of tennis population and the establishment of a solid tennis Taki. Also， it isthe main strategy for Suzhou to train reserve talents and implement the national fitnessand sunshine sports program. What’s more， it is an important part in Suzhou’s socialistmodernization.This paper focuses on the current development of youth tennis sports in SuzhouIndustrial Park. Through documentation method， questionnaire survey， mathematicalstatistics and logic generalization method， I did a series of research on the age，training period， training motivation， knowledge access and consumer characteristicsof teenagers who have taken part in tennis sports in Suzhou Industrial Park. I also didresearch on the tennis coaches’ age，teaching period，coaching experience，educationbackground， coaching level and factors which influence their coaching in SuzhouIndustrial Park and summed up the main constraints for the development of youth tennissports in Suzhou Industrial Park.Here are the study results.（1） The development of youth tennis in SuzhouIndustrial Park is still in its infancy， and the participants are few. The training periodand times couldn’t be guaranteed， consumption characteristics are generally low andthe training results couldn’t be guaranteed.（2） The age structure of coaches tends tobe younger and younger. The coaches are inexperienced and need to improve their overall coaching level by enriching their practical experience.（3） Tennis court is notenough in Suzhou Industrial Park. There is scarcely any tennis courts around primaryand secondary school where teenagers show around. The contradiction between supplyand demand is evident.（4） The relevant administrative departments do not attachenough emphasize and couldn’t give enough politics and funding supports. Coachestraining and assessment system need to be improved and the organization forms ofcompetition are monotonous.（5） The Junior Tennis competition system in theIndustrial Park needs to be improved. There is few opportunities for young people toparticipate in tennis matches and the tennis competition environment needs to be furtherimproved；（6） Because of the education system， funding and environment， tennissports is not well carried out in primary and secondary schools. These problems largelylimit the development of youth tennis in the Industrial Park.Through the analysis of factors that influence the development tennis sports， thispaper gives an outlook of the prospects for the development of Junior Tennis in SuzhouIndustrial Park and offers reasonable proposals.（1） Strengthen the publicity and education of youth tennis sports to promote itspopularity and development in the Suzhou Industrial Park；（2）Strengthen the teamconstruction of junior tennis coaches to improve their comprehensive coaching ability；（3） Strengthen the construction of tennis courts continuously to improve the trainingconditions；（4）The administrative departments should strengthen the management ofyouth tennis；（5）Combine education with PE and promote the all-round developmentof young people；（6）Learn from the successful development model at home andabroad；...
