With the knowledge economy further deepen, Higher Education and Economic development is more and more obvious interaction, Higher education and Economic relationship has been the focus of domestic and international research, Keep higher education and economic coordinated development to improve China’s comprehensive strength, be helpful for improving the international competitiveness, and could help to reinforce social stability. As for the area, The Coordinated Development Researches between Higher Education and Regional Economic, for the regional economy and the higher education policy formulation and provide basis for adjustment, strengthen higher education and regional economy closely, realize economy and higher education benign interaction, enhance the local school characteristics, highlights the regional economic advantages.In this paper, according to the national bureau of statistics division standard, China is divided into east, middle and west three area.Based on the statistical data of10years, to analyze the three large area of higher education and economic development coordination. First of all, from the higher education scale and economic scale, employment population and graduate population, employment structure and higher education structure and so on, to analyze the present situation of higher education and economic development,It can be obtained in both scale and structure are reasonable in the preliminary analysis, and this is the important factor of influence degree of coordination. Secondly, this paper collecting and processing2000-2009years of data, selecting21indicators (210set of data) of higher education and economic development. Through the factor analysis get the comprehensive evaluation value of the higher education and the comprehensive evaluation value of the economic development. By the grey relation analysis to measure the eastern central and western,and the coordination in all the provinces. Assessment found western coordination assessment value maximum, the central coordinating evaluation value minimum, the region of evaluation value high development level is not high, the area evaluation value low does not is low, and the reason is analyzed in the article. Finally, This paper puts forward the relevant proposals according to the different areas, from the central government, local government, university and enterprise, and points out that this research is insufficient, and puts forward the main direction of the theoretical and empirical aspects need to be deeply studied.
