Higher Vocational Education And Regional Economic Development

Higher vocational education schools has increasingly become the focus of people' s attention, only having a correct understanding of the relationship between higher vocational education and the coordinated development of regional economic, can we guarantee its healthy development and better play the role of higher vocational education to revitalize the regional economy. The first-class model of higher vocational education must be based on actual needs of regional economic development and students' life-long career development, and stay in the field of regional economy construct and students' long-term career development,thus we can cultivate plenty of technical application-oriented, technology management-oriented and social service-oriented high-level practical talents to change the serious situation of shortage of technical personnel in our country today, to enhance the capacity of students' long-term career, and to run education with satisfaction by people.In this paper, the author takes Zhejiang Industry and Trade Polytechnic as example and elaborates the relationship between higher vocational education and the coordinative development of regional economic mainly on the practical perspective. In addition to the preface and conclusion, this paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter introduces the environment of Zhejiang Industry and Trade Polytechnic, including the social environment and institutional environment of the development of the polytechnic.In chapter II, the author introduces and analyzes the development status of the polytechnic, which include the relationship between regional economic and educational development and its management structure as well.In chapter III, the author introduces the actual teaching method of the typical major, the teachers and the connection between the school and the outside, which include the mode of school-running and the personnel training. According to this, the author put forward her opinion that the development of the polytechnic should be in line with the development trend of regional industrial, should develop a kind of mode that matches with the regional industry, and thus shape a sustainable developing mode for Higher Vocational Education.In chapter IV, basing on the problem and the relationship between Higher Vocational Education and Regional Economic Coordinate Development, the author sums up the pros and cons of the current teaching mode and puts forward a more reasonable training mode. The conclusions are as following: teaching modes can' t be divorced with the industry, profession and professional practice, but if we take short-sight to deal with education and just take the employment as the ultimate aim of vocational education, it is not acceptable too. We must take into consideration of the industries, trades, vocational needs and the students' need for life-long career development.
