This paper study the relationship among teacher-student relationship,achievement goal and academic help-seeking behavior by the investigation ofInner Mongolia autonomous region middle school students English learningsituation, and to further explore the achievement goal how affect therelationship between teacher-student relationship and academic help-seekingbehavior. This research results not only extend the scope of academichelp-seeking behavior, as well as provide realistic basis for how to cultivatethe students’ achievement goal orientation and establish a harmoniousrelationship between teachers and students. This study randomly selectsstudents of one to three grade from two middle school in Inner MongoliaErdos city to do questionnaire survey and hand out500questionnaires.The research conclusion is as follows:1. When middle school students have some difficulties in the process oflearning English, they tend to adopt instrumental help-seeking behavior, andless use the executive help-seeking and avoidance of help-seeking. In middleschool stage, the teachers and students are in good relations. Most of thestudents’ achievement goal is mastering the knowledge.2. Through comparative analysis, good relationship between teachers andstudents help students to adopt instrumental help-seeking behavior, andstudents’ learning goals is mastering knowledge as the main purpose. If therelationship between teachers and students is worse, they tend to useexecutive help-seeking and avoidance of help-seeking. They takeperformance as the main purpose of learning goals.3. There is a correlation among teacher-student relationship, achievement goal and academic help-seeking behavior4. Achievement goal plays intermediary role between teacher-studentrelationship and academic help-seeking behavior.
