| The21st century is an era of rapid developing knowledge economy, and sports mediaas a new industry is facing huge opportunity and challenge. Sports media is a branchof media which brings sports information through television, radio,newspaper, andmedia,etc.to the masses. While the post-Olympia era in China has brought favourableopportunity to sports media,it is not as optimistic in Xi’an in that although thetransmitting forms are various and there have been influencial large scale sportsevents, there are problems in terms of the deep reporting, communicating andcoordinating with other media，which, if not solved, could negatively affect Xi’ansports media,Xi’an’s sports cause,and even the economy of this city.This thesis intendsto adopt the methods of document research,expert interview,questionnairesurvey,logical analysis and mathematical statistics to analyse issues in sports eventstransmitting and media integration with the practicalsituation of Xi’an in mind topropose that, in order to pursue a significant development in sports media, we shouldforge brand sports events, increase the cultural content of sports information, andenforce deep reporting of sports information. The government agencies shouldprovide favourable conditions for the development of sports media, strenghen theconstruction of sports infrastructure, strive to develop the econo my so as to providefinancial support to sports media, enhance sports travel and publicizing. Theconcerned higher education institutions should intensify the cultivating ofprofessional sports media talents. Through the concerted efforts of all aspects, makesure that the sports media in Xi’an have a more rapid and better development. |
