Since1980s, the private foreign language training institutions have been rapidlydeveloped and have grown stronger. The private foreign language training institutionshave becoming a strong power in China’s education field, having unique teachingpatterns, flexible curriculum and advanced educational ideas. Under the backgroundof a new round of curriculum reform in China’s education, the curriculum in privateforeign training school is gradually emerging into people’s vision.This paper firstly defines and explains the curriculum concept of private trainingschool based on literature study at home and abroad, gives summary of research onschool-based curriculum with theory and practice domestic and overseas, and comesto a conclusion on curriculum in private school with teaching data. Then under theguidance of theory, the investigation is performed by taking the example of CrazyBaby School in Panjin and data analysis is given. According to the result, the analysisand opinions have been proposed in terms of improving curriculum evaluationsystem.The questionnaire survey and interview and classroom observation are adopted inthe process of investigation to reflect course implementation and curriculumevaluation about Crazy Baby School. The conclusions are as follow (1) Research andDevelopment of curriculum is mainly decided by principal or school leaders in privateforeign training school, while teachers just participate in curriculum implementationand evaluation.(2) Teaching modes are characterized with flexibility and diversity inprivate training school.(3) Course content in private foreign training school isfeatured with local characteristics.(4) Course evaluation is not perfect in privateforeign training school.Based on investigation results, the following suggestions on principal and teacherin private school are proposed: theory quality and practice ability on school-basedcurriculum should be improved. The focus on school development should bedetermined in order to ensure implementing special programs effectively in the school.Teacher should be entitled with participation in developing school-based curriculum.Teacher training on school-based curriculum should be intensified and a harmoniousworking atmosphere for teachers should be established. Meanwhile, the points onevaluating school-based curriculum are suggested, including that course evaluationpatterns and evaluation subject should be diversified to perfect curriculum evaluation system. The platform between principal and parents should been established to havethe children grown healthily.
